Officer Caleb Harper said the adult driver was taken to Wayne medical center suffering from non-life-threatening injuries from the crash reported just after 5 p.m. at the corner of Markwith Avenue and Sater Street in Greenville.

The sport-utility vehicle and structure sustained heavy damage, but the proprietors were able to use plastic to seal the hole the SUV punched into the south wall, Harper said.

There were customers in the business, the officer said, and no injuries besides the driver who was cited for failure to control.
