One person was killed and two injured Thursday in a head-on crash in Dayton.

The crash was reported around 4:45 p.m. in the 2600 block of Old Troy Pike at Southshore Drive.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed an investigator responded to the fatal crash.

The crash involved an SUV and two-door sports car, and Dayton police said speed may have been a factor in the collision.

Two medics were called, but one was canceled and at least one person was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with unknown injuries, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.
