Bones found on Trotwood property believed to belong to animal

Police believe the bones found on the property on North Union Road belong to a dead animal.

“They are not consistent with human remains,” Trotwood Police Chief Erik Wilson said.

INITIAL REPORT:

Several police cruisers are at a property on North Union Road in Trotwood after someone reported finding what they believe are bones, according to dispatch records.

Officers responded to the 5200 block of North Union after receiving the call around 12:45 p.m.

It’s not clear what police actually found when they got to the property and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office said they have not sent an investigator to the property.
