Power restored to remaining DP&L customers in Montgomery County

UPDATE @ 8:40 p.m.:

Power has been restored to the remaining DP&L customers in Montgomery County, according to the DP&L Outage Map.

UPDATE @ 7:41 p.m.:

The number of Dayton Power & Light customers without power is down to 737 after nearly 3,000 were affected Sunday afternoon.

According to Tom Tatham, director of operations at DP&L, an animal came into contact with one of their air brakes in Miamisburg which caused the outages.

DP&L is currently working to get the remaining customers their power.

INITIAL REPORT: Thousands of Dayton Power & Light customers are without power this evening.

As of 6:11 p.m., 2,964 customers are without power in Montgomery County.

The estimated restoration time is 8:00 p.m., according to the DP&L Outage Map.
