Power restored to most in Huber Heights

Dayton Power and Light’s outage map shows only 30 power outages have been reported in Montgomery County.

UPDATE @ 10:10 p.m.:

A faulty fuse is to blame for a power outage that has grown to affect over 1,500 Dayton Power and Light customers in Huber Heights.

Initially just over 100 people were affected, but the reported outages quickly grew shortly after 9:30 p.m.

DP&L is working on the problem and still expects to have all power restored before midnight.

FIRST REPORT:

Over 100 Dayton Power and Light customers are in the dark tonight according to a company spokeswoman.

Power outages were first reported shortly after 7 p.m. on Monday around Pheasant Hill Road, but the cause of the outage is unknown.

DP&L Spokeswoman Kelly Millhouse says a crew is on the scene and expects to have power restored to all customers before midnight.
