Robert Purter, 44, of Dayton, was arrested for theft around 2 a.m. today, according to a Dayton police report.
No formal charges have been filed.
Purter reportedly took a winter hat and sunglasses from the Edwin C. Moses Boulevard gas station store, before running across the street and hiding behind a building.
