A house sustained ‘substantial’ damage after a driver crashed his car through his closed garage door and into his home, according to Huber Heights police.
Officers and medics responded to the home in the 8900 block of Davidgate Drive around 9:10 a.m. on reports of a car that crashed into a house.
The driver, who is a resident of the house, crashed through the closed garage door and made ‘partial entry’ into the house, damaging a load-bearing wall, Huber Heights police Sgt. Charles Taylor said.
Police were not aware of any injuries sustained by the driver or anyone in the house.
The crash was under investigation, but it was not believed to be caused by a medical condition.

Police and fire crews have responded to reports of a vehicle that crashed into a house on Davidgate Drive in Huber Heights Monday morning.
Emergency crews responded around 9:10 a.m. and reported the vehicle had crashed into the home and damaged a load-bearing wall, according to initial reports.
It was not immediately known if there were injuries.
