Joann Ringer
OAKWOOD — The former president of the Junior League of Dayton is now the newest member of the Oakwood Schools Education Foundation.
Joann Ringer, who has been a resident of Oakwood for more than 20 years, will join these fellow council members: Ellen Ireland, Education Foundation Council chairwoman; Mary Jo Scalzo, Oakwood superintendent; Chris Epley, Oakwood school board member; and Molly Cobb, Jill Davis, Kim Donnelly, Todd Duwel, Pattie Edmonson, John Jervis, Pat Koons, Janine McQuillan and Sandy Pierce.
Ringer is currently the vice president of operations at Miami Valley Hospital and the former president of the Associate Board of the Dayton Art Institute.
Ringer received a bachelors of science degree in business administration from Ohio State University. She and her husband, Paul, have one daughter, Sydney, who is a student in the Oakwood City School District.
