U.S. 35-WB now back open after rollover crash; man taken to hospital

U.S. 35 west is now back open following a crash involving a minivan.

UPDATED @ 1:47 p.m.:

One man was taken to an area hospital after a minivan struck a light pole and rolled over on U.S. 35 west.

His condition is not known.

The man was the only person in the van and had to be cut out of the vehicle.

The accident knocked over the light pole and closed all lanes of U.S. 35 west near Gettysburg Avenue.

Debris is blocking the right two lanes on U.S. 35 east.

INITIAL REPORT:

U.S. 35 west is closed near Gettysburg Avenue in Dayton due to a rollover accident.

The left lanes on U.S. 35 east are also closed.

A vehicle rolled over onto its side and briefly caught fire, according to dispatchers.

At least one person is trapped.

It is not clear if there are any injuries.
