In other AAC news:
• The AAC won a $2,000 contract from the Heart Truch Health Professional Education program, a division of the Office on Wom • AAC-Dayton has been awarded funds by the Physicians’ Charitable Foundation that will help implement the “Train the Trainers” program for the Asian American Hepatitis B. Initiative.
The funds will be used to purchase equipment and for program implementation.
• State Farm has awarded a grant that will support the creation of a mini “Healthy Ways” booklet. The booklet will be created by the AAC.
• The Asian American Youth Council-Dayton (AAYCD) worked on a Tobacco Free Kids-sponsored anti-tobacco public service announcement (PSA) contest. Groups were required to produce a 30-second video that fits one of four categories. The council chose to create videos in the “It Starts With Me” and “What’s in a Cigarette?” categories.
• AAYCD welcomed new member Juhi Rattan, a sophomore at Centerville High School.
