The crash was reported in the 1900 block of South Limestone Street, between Leffel Lane and John Street around 8 a.m.

Two medics were requested to the scene, along with a medical helicopter, which was asked to meet the ground ambulance at Springfield Regional Medical Center to transport the crash victim.
The driver suffered injuries officials described as serious and life-threatening.
Police have blocked the northbound lanes of South Limestone Street due to the crash.
