Officers were dispatched to the hospital around 3:20 p.m. Monday after receiving reports the victim was dropped off by a private vehicle at the hospital, according to dispatch records.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and told investigators it happened near the intersection West Siebenthaler Avenue and Philadelphia Drive, dispatchers said.
Officers were requested to the intersection to attempt to locate a scene where the incident took place.
The condition of the victim was not immediately available.
