Chance of showers today, storms arrive tomorrow

There is a slight chance of showers in the earliest hours of Tuesday morning, and again around daybreak and after noon, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Otherwise today will be mostly cloudy with a high rising to near 68 degrees.

Tonight, showers will go from a slight chance to likely, especially after midnight. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a low of around 57 degrees.

Tomorrow will be a wet one, with showers and possible afternoon thunderstorms. It will be windy, with gusts possibly reaching up to 21 mph. The rain will continue into Wednesday night, with thunderstorms still a possibility. During the day the high will be near 65 degrees, and drop to around 48 degrees overnight.

Thursday will also be rainy, with showers predicted and a high near 55 degrees. The rain is predicted to continue all day and into the night before gradually tapering off into Friday.
