Dayton firefighters responded to a house fire in the 700 block of Philadelphia Drive on Tuesday morning.
Smoke from the blaze could be seen for blocks on the city’s northwest side near Wolf Creek.
Initial reports from emergency radio traffic indicated the house was vacant.

Firefighters went into defensive mode about 10:50 a.m.
Officials said utilities had not been turned on for the house in nearly a decade.
