Sneak peek at $500K downtown Dayton townhouses' killer view

How sweet would it be to sit on a four-story-high patio overlooking downtown Dayton as fireworks ring out over the Great Miami River for the Fourth of July?

Monument Walk, Charles Simms Development's fifth community in downtown Dayton, will feature rooms where that will be possible.

The 17-townhouse complex is under construction near the corner of Ludlow St. and Monument Ave. will feature city view rooms that can be either enclosed or open.

That kind of awesome doesn't come cheap.

The 3,227 to 3,470-square-foot, elevator-ready homes are priced at $400,000 to $500,000 each . They are expected to be complete by the end of 2017.

Simms says downtown living offers sought-after amenities and accessibility.

"People want walkability. They don't want to use their cars as much," Simms said. "Downtown has so many amenities; the Dragons, RiverScape, the restaurants are all popping up now, the stores."
