2 jailed after police search Cosler Drive home in Dayton

Two men are due in court this afternoon to be arraigned on felony charges following their arrests Saturday after Dayton police searched a home as part of a robbery investigation.

Justin Simmons, 22, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of aggravated robbery and on a weapons charge. He also was wanted for a misdemeanor crime by Wright State University police, jail records show.

Brock Wogoman, 21, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of illegal conveyance of a weapon and drug possession, according to online jail records.

We are working to learn more about the incident on Cosler Drive and what led police to arrest the two men.

UPDATE @ 10:20 p.m. (March 11)

Police remained outside a Cosler Drive home for about nine hours today as part of an investigation that led them to detain five people.

Police left the scene around 10:15 p.m. in the 700 block of Cosler Drive. They arrived around 1 p.m. Police said they were waiting on a search warrant earlier this afternoon so they could search the home.

We are working to learn more about the incident, and whether any of the five were arrested and formally charged.

Police tell us five people are being detained after they emerged from a home on Cosler Drive where officers tracked down suspects involved in a robbery.

Police believe two of the people who are being detained are suspects in a robbery in which a weapon was displayed.

Officers continue to block traffic on Cosler between Suman and Fulmer avenues.

EARLIER

We’re working to learn more after police in Dayton surrounded a home in the 700 block of Cosler Drive.

Police went to the location as part of an investigation into a stolen vehicle, according to the emergency dispatch center.

Nearby residents report that officers had guns drawn as at least three people emerged from the home.
