Employees told investigators that several storage units had been broken into overnight and they were in the process of letting the renters know.
Police observed 60 units that had their padlocks cut off.
Several items were located in a nearby wooded area including two televisions, a computer monitor, several power tools and about 30 liquor bottles, according to a Dayton police report.
The incident remains under investigation, no arrests have been made.
