DAYTON POLICE: Four suspects arrested after auto theft and 20 minute pursuit

UPDATE @ 3:30 p.m.

Four suspects were arrested following a 20 minute pursuit through the city of Dayton, Tuesday morning, according to Dayton Police. The suspects allegedly stole a car at gunpoint and led multiple officers on a pursuit that ended with the stolen car striking a parked car at the intersection of Mathinson and Edison Street.

After the accident all four suspects fled from the vehicle, but were eventually arrested. The suspects are all juveniles and face possible charges of fleeing and alluding, aggravated robbery, several traffic violations and resisting arrest.

UPDATE @8:40 a.m.

The pursuit reportedly started when the pursuit suspects robbed a woman of her car at gunpoint.

There are at least two in custody.

UPDATE @8:15 a.m.

A pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle crashed into a parked vehicle in the area of Mathinson and Edison streets.

The parked car was hit hard enough that it was moved about half a block.

Two people are in custody and are in the back of a police cruiser, according to our crew on scene. We’re working to learn if police are seeking additional suspects.

An unknown number of suspects are reportedly in police custody after leading officials on a pursuit throughout Dayton Wednesday morning.

The incident allegedly started on Ohio 4 with a reported stolen vehicle around 7 a.m., per initial reports.

Speeds reportedly reached up to 60 miles per hour.

The suspects reportedly attempted to bail in the area of Edison Street near Orchard Avenue, but were captured by police.
