SUV that crashed into Trotwood creek was stolen, police say

Police have determined that an SUV that crashed into a creek in Trotwood Thursday morning was stolen.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, according to Capt. Dan Heath.

The SUV was stolen from a driveway after it was left running with keys in the ignition, he said.

Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Wolf Creek Pike and state Route 49 around 7 a.m.

The SUV reportedly went off the right side of the road and went into the creek.

No injuries were reported.
