According to a police division report, the thief had visited Wine Works, 1550 Commerce Road, several days before Monday's liquor theft, but did not take anything until the theft.

On the day of the theft, the suspect was a passenger in a white Kia whose driver backed it to a spot near the front door of the business.

The suspect got out, leaving the passenger door open when he entered the store. He took the vodka from a display just inside the front door.

According to the incident report, a store employee saw the theft and tried to the stop the thief, but the thief sidestepped the employee and got into the waiting vehicle.
