HUBER HEIGHTS SCHOOLS
As a school district, we recognize that ongoing communications are a key component to each student’s academic success. Through the use of technology, our school district is improving the communication process.
Progress Book, an online grading system currently used by all kindergarten though 12th grade teachers in our school district, has a component that allows parents to access their child’s grades from any computer with an internet connection. Progress Book’s Parent Access website enables parents to track student grades throughout each quarter with access to classroom information and progress reports. The Parent Viewer can be accessed from the Huber Heights City School District website at www.huberheightscityschools.org. If parents have difficulty accessing the Parent Viewer, contact the technology department at (937) 237-6300. When the call is answered, ask for the extension of your student’s school. You will be asked to leave a message. The appropriate person will contact you to assist you with the Parent Viewer logon.
An added feature this year in Progress Book is the parent access alert. Parents can receive daily e-mail alerts on missing assignments and low assignment marks.
We hope that parents will utilize this technology tool as a way to monitor their child’s progress. Parents should keep in mind that the grades posted on Progress Book may not always be the most current due to inputting issues. Progress Book will assist parents in tracking their child’s academic performance in a specific subject.
We believe this tool helps to improve the communication between school and home and creates opportunities for parents to monitor their child’s classroom performance in a timely manner.
