According to crash reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers responded to a report of a crash at 7:43 a.m.

After investigation, they found a Toyota Sienna was traveling northeast on North Valley Road when a Chevrolet Silverado ran the red light and struck  the minivan.

Soon after, a Ford F-250 traveling eastbound on U.S. 35 crashed into the Silverado.

The driver of the minivan was taken to Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek with minor injuries, but the other drivers were uninjured.
However, the Silverado driver was cited for running the red light, while the driver of the F-250 was cited for driving unsafely for the conditions, as he claimed that he couldn't see the pickup due to glare from the sun.
