The board discussed the possibility of returning to the ballot during its monthly work session. A proposed bond issue to renovate and add onto L.T. Ball school to house prekindergarten through grade five students was defeated by around 200 votes in May 2019.
An updated plan for L.T. Ball's renovation and a 94,000 square foot addition was discussed with the board Monday. A request for state funding assistance could be submitted this summer to the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission.
The renovation and addition would provide new classrooms to replace the aging Nevin Coppock and Broadway elementary schools.
