Toastmasters offering class on resumes

KETTERING — Job seekers and career changers looking to strengthen their resume writing and interviewing skills can attend the Job Search Tactics presentation offered by Kettering Toastmasters on Oct. 19.

The presentation begins at 7 p.m. at Central Christian Church, 1200 Forrer Blvd.

It is designed to teach job seekers tactics that will improve their effectiveness.

The event features a presentation from award-winning Toastmasters speaker Sean Barrett, who will share guerilla tactics for the job search. Barrett honed his tactics during his many years as an IT recruiter for Ball Aerospace, where he currently works as a senior systems engineer.

Admission to the event is free; reservations are accepted but not required. Registration begins at 6:45 p.m., and will be followed by the feature presentation.

The event concludes with light refreshments and networking.

Kettering Toastmasters members will answer questions about Toastmasters, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help people become better speakers and leaders.
