Trotwood lifts boil advisory

UPDATE @ 3:05 p.m. (Sept. 26):
The boil advisory is lifted for those living along Olive Road whose water service was shut off Wednesday for repairs.

Those affected by the boil advisory included residents living on Olive Road between East Main Street and Grand Oak Boulevard, and all of Oakview Estates.

The water has been tested and is safe for consumption, according to the city’s public works department.

FIRST REPORT

Trotwood will temporarily shut off water service from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday to replace line tie-ins.

Residents affected include those along Olive Road between East Main Street and Grand Oak Boulevard, with all of Oakview Estates included.

Once the water is turned back on, residents in the affected areas will be under a boil advisory.

Those residents are advised to boil water for three minutes minimum before using.

This advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
