Teen drivers in Miami County had the opportunity Friday to drive a car while wearing DUI goggles and text under off-road conditions.
Nine people were killed and 1,000 are injured each day in crashes where distracted driving occurred.
Many of the student drivers signed pledge cards acknowledging they take distracted driving seriously.
A recent AAA survey of Ohio drivers revealed that 90 percent say they’re “concerned” or “very concerned” about their safety on the road due to other drivers being distracted by electronic devices.
