At about 8:14 p.m., an officer with the Huber Heights police department tried to stop a Chevrolet Impala, traveling north along Brandt Pike, south of Kitridge Road, that did not have its headlights on, according to police.
After the driver failed to pull over, a brief chase ensued, which ended only after the car crashed into a tree at Kitridge and Bellefontaine streets.
Bozarth hopped out of the car, and fled on foot, but the officer apprehended him, police said. Bozarth allegedly struck the officer during the foot pursuit.
Bozarth also damaged the police cruiser after he was placed inside.
Dillon was arrested after trying to hide drug paraphernalia, police said.
Bozarth has had many previous run-ins with the law for crimes that include drunken driving, theft, disorderly conduct, assault, menacing, assault on an officer, drug abuse and resisting arrest.
