Lebanon City Council is scheduled Tuesday to consider changes to the city’s property maintenance code to include prohibitions related to introduction of invasive plants, such as bamboo, in the city.
The council is also scheduled to consider application to the state for a $150,000 grant to help pay for a $275,000 bike park on the city’s former landfill.
It is also to consider authorizing the city manager to sign agreements to pay Newberry Construction $179,000 to complete the year’s rail tie replacements and improvements to the West Street rail road crossing and extend the existing contract with the International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers, AFL-CIO-CLC, Local Union 648, for three months related to the city’s Electric Division staff.

Lebanon City Schools will host an informational open house about its preschool program from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at Bowman Primary School, 825 Hart Road. All parents of incoming preschool students ages 3-5 are invited to attend.
