Warren County man found dead under rolled lawn mower

A Warren County man died Thursday after being found pinned under a lawn mower at Hamilton Twp. home.

Hamilton Twp. Police and emergency personnel were dispatched about 9:45 p.m. to the 800 block of E. Hatt-Swank Road for a report of a person pinned under a lawn mower, according to a release from the police department.

Thomas McAlpin, 71, was found under a commercial grade, zero-turn mower in his back yard.

Preliminary investigation indicates McAlpin was operating his mower near the rear of his property when the machine rolled landing on top of him.

The Warren County Coroner’s Office is investigating the exact cause of death.
