Warren County news: Lane closure begins today on SR 48

Lane closing on SR 48 beginning today

A single lane will close on State Route 48 before Cozaddale Murdock Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning today and ending Friday. This lane closure will allow for culvert work. Traffic will be maintained with a temporary signal.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closure.

Motorists are advised to be cautious when traveling through the work zone. STAFF REPORT

LEBANON

Voices to hold free concert

The Voices of Warren County will perform a free concert at 6:30 p.m. June 3, at the Warren C. Young Center, 801 Drake Road. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Voices of Warren County is an all-volunteer group of singers comprised of adults receiving services and supports from the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities. The group performs at area schools, festivals, retirement communities, and other venues.

The concert is appropriate for all age levels and families are welcome. An assortment of popular music, show tunes and inspirational songs will be performed. The concert will include a special Bluegrass performance by Emily Hogeback. Emily is a young musician who is blind. She has been playing the fiddle for 14 years, and the Dobro for 11 years.

SOUTH LEBANON

Free summer lunch program

The Kings Local School District, in partnership with South Lebanon Community Center/Joshua’s Place Community Outreach Organization, is participating in the Summer Food Service Meal Program.

Summer Lunch in the Village will provide lunches to children free of charge regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Children between 1 and 18 years of age are eligible for free meals. Youth age 19-21 that have a mental or physical disability (as determined by state or local education agency) and who participate during the school year in a public or private nonprofit school program are also eligible to receive free meals.

The meal will be served at the South Lebanon Community Center, 83 N. Section St. in South Lebanon, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, June 6 through Friday, Aug. 5. Service will be Monday through Friday; no meal services provided through this program on Saturday and Sunday
