Weather spotter training available

A free Weather Spotter Training will be held March 10 at First Lutheran Church, 2899 W. Main St.

The training is being held by the Miami County Emergency Management Agency and the Local Emergency Planning Committee in conjunction with the National Weather Service. The class will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be facilitated by Andrew Snyder, a meteorologist with the Weather Service in Wilmington.

The training provides information about cloud structures, formation of super cells, wind damage relative to storm strength, hail, flooding and weather safety aspects. NANCY BOWMAN, CONTRIBUTING WRITER
