Wright State to close student housing

Wright State University will close student housing beginning Friday.

The announcement came Monday, which was the first day of remote learning after in-person instruction was suspended last week due to concerns of the coronavirus.

The Dayton Campus and Lake Campus housing will close at 5 p.m. Friday. However, students without other options can apply to remain in housing, according to the university’s website.

Wright State’s libraries and computer labs will be closed beginning Tuesday.

President Sue Edwards has posted update on social media alerting the campus community to the new guidelines.

Remote learning will remain in effect through at least March 30.

All official university events, receptions, gatherings and student activities also are suspended until further notice, and all university-sponsored foreign and domestic air travel is suspended.
