Deputy Tori Bargo pulled over Poole around 6 a.m. Jan. 1 in Washington Twp. after the sheriff’s office received a call of a suspicious vehicle driving erratically at a high rate of speed in the Haven Hill neighborhood.

Bargo was outside her cruiser when Poole tried to flee and struck Bargo, sending her onto the hood of the patrol car, Sheriff Rob Streck said.

Poole later rammed deputy Douglas Phillips’ cruiser, injuring him while he was inside.

Poole eventually crashed in the area of Ohio 725 and Interstate 675 in Miami Twp. and ran from the car before she was caught.

Bargo and Phillips were treated and released from area hospitals.
