The 4-year-old boy is presumed dead by Dayton police. He and his mother, 25-year-old Nichelle McKnight, both went missing in March. His mother's body was found April 11 near the Stillwater River bank in Harrison Twp. Her death is a homicide, police said.
Store employees of the shop at 6252 Wilmington Pike said they wanted to get involved to help bring the community together in support of Nichelle and Zaden McKnight, and to recover the boy's body.
"It's an important cause to make sure we bring Zaden home," said reward fund organizer Victoria Moore.
