Insurers and middlemen will no longer be able to stop pharmacists from telling customers they could get a cheaper price if they don’t use their insurance.
Two bills, with bipartisan support and signed by President Trump, correct “gag rules” or contractual obligations which had prohibited pharmacist from telling customers when their prescription would cost less if they paid for it out-of-pocket, rather than using their private insurance plan or Medicare.
