The carjacking victim called 911 and explained what was in the car when the suspect took off with it. “The guy is in my car right now. He made me get out and come for him. My purse is in the car. He could be headed to my house. I don’t want him to go to my house. My ID is in there.”
Police said the carjacking took place while the victim was waiting for her friend who was getting food in the Waffle House. That’s when Dybvad walked up, opened her car door, pulled out a gun and demanded she get out, police said.
Moraine Police Officer Jeff Vance said the suspect wanted the car to go somewhere, then came back to the motel.
Police said they could not find the gun used in the crime, but found evidence related to it.
The crime is believed to be drug-related, police said.
