Miamisburg land use change helps auto mall’s plans to move, expand

Miamisburg has beefed up development standards in an area near Interstate 75 that includes nearly 40 acres where a large automobile dealership in the city is looking to move and expand.

The land northwest of the Byers/Lyons roads intersection abutting I-75 north of Lyons Road has been designated a special development district, a move that will strengthen design standards for the 38 acres involved, according to the city.

Late last year, this news organization reported the Matt Castrucci Auto Mall of Dayton planned to move to the Byers/Lyons intersection from its site just north of the Dayton Mall on the east side of the interstate.

Castrucci said the new site would effectively double dealership space. Miamisburg officials said the city’s adoption of the North Byers Land Use Study will help Castrucci’s plans move forward.
