John Krasinski to hold virtual prom for students who had to miss out because of coronavirus cancellations

Pull out your gown. Find your best suit. Cue the music.

John Krasinski is holding a virtual prom for the high school students who are missing the rite of passage this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Krasinski made the announcement that he is going to be the DJ as part of his "Some Good News" online show, People magazine reported.

The prom will be held Friday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

He also shared his prom photo on Instagram as part of the announcement.

This isn’t the first time Krasinski has tried to bring smiles to his fans as they deal with being stuck at home or working on the front lines of the pandemic.

This week, he gave health care workers lifetime Red Sox tickets.

Last week, he had the original Broadway cast of "Hamilton" sing for a young fan, The Los Angeles Times reported.
