New restaurant opening at Bridgewater Falls

MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub is scheduled to open Monday at Bridgewater Falls in Fairfield Twp.

The new restaurant at 3411 Hamilton Princeton Road replaces Max & Erma’s, which shut its doors earlier this year.

Launched in 1993, MacKenzie River Pizza Grill & Pub features a menu with more than 70 items, including pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads, fish tacos, goat cheese queso, Kentucky bourbon bites, specialty cocktails and more.

The transition comes courtesy of Glacier Restaurant Group, a Montana-based company that owns MacKenzie River and purchased the Max & Erma’s chain in 2016.

James Blystone, vice president of franchising and communication, told the Journal-News there will be a VIP Donation Dinner event from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 23, where proceeds from the dining dollars will go directly to Animal Friends Humane Society, Butler County’s largest animal shelter.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling 513-737-7717 and asking for a member of the management team.

There are 27 MacKenzie River locations nationwide, including in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. The Fairfield Twp. location will be the first MacKenzie River location in the Butler County area. Other locations in the state include Beavercreek and Columbus.

Glacier Restaurant Group also owns the Ciao Mambo, Craggy Range Bar & Grill and Latitude 48 concepts.
