Partly sunny and clear, with some fog to start today

After a strong cold front passed through the area Monday night, Tuesday morning will be cooler with clearer skies, although some areas of patchy fog may develop, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Today will be partly sunny and cool, with a high near 66 degrees. The clouds with mostly clear by nightfall, temperatures will drop to around 47 degrees.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and slightly warmer, though highs will only reach up to around 70 degrees. Some clouds will develop again on Wednesday night, but will largely clear again by dawn Thursday.

Thursday will also be mostly sunny, though temperatures will again be in the mid-60s, with a high of around 64 degrees.

Overnight, the NWS forecast calls for partly cloudy skies as temperatures fall to around 41 degrees.
