Restaurant to add jobs, seats with move to new Miami Twp. site

A restaurant chain plans to add jobs and seating when it moves from Miamisburg down the street to a larger site in Miami Twp.

Roosters plans to increase its staff from about 95 to about 125 as it moves from 103 N. Springboro Pike to 9400 Springboro, said Dan Ponton, company president and CEO.

About 400 seats will be available at the future site that is nearly 8,400 square feet, about 25 percent more space than it currently has, Ponton said.

How soon the move will occur, he added, will depend on when it completes renovating the new site, which it bought last year for $1.7 million after Caddy’s Tap House closed at the location just south of the Interstate 675 overpass.

Roosters has been leasing its Miamisburg location, Ponton said.

A request to add an entrance and a walk-in cooler at the future site is set to be heard by the Miami Twp. Zoning Commission at 6 p.m. tonight.
