Beginning today, the low-priced, highly-rated Rosé will be back on ALDI's shelves for a limited time, the German grocer told the website Refinery 29. The wine will remain on shelves throughout the summer.
ALDI has Dayton-area stores at 1940 E. Dorothy Lane in Kettering, on 6300 Brandt Pike in Huber Heights and at 2451 Lakeview Drive in Beavercreek, according to the company's store locator. An ALDI at Westown Shopping Center in Dayton closed in mid-April but the company still operates stores in both Englewood and West Carrolton as well.

When it was first introduced at U.S. stores a year or so ago, the Rosé proved to be “widely popular” and “flew off the shelves,” according to the grocery chain. The wine’s popularity may have something to do with the fact that the International Wine Challenge described it as having “”delicate yet intense flavors of strawberry and white fruit aromas, with a subtle quartzy spice.”
ALDI, which opened its first store in 1961 in Germany, has operated stores throughout the U.S. for nearly 40 years. ALDI’s U.S. operations are based in Batavia, Illinois and the grocer runs more than 1,600 locations across 35 states and employs over 25,000 people, according to the company.
