A woman was taken to Middletown City Jail after police responded to an apartment on a report of a suspicious person and vehicle.

A man inside a vehicle matching the description given of a maroon Cadillac with a tan top told police he had dropped off two women at an apartment across the street from where he was parked.

When officers knocked on the front and back doors of the Aaron Drive apartment and announced it was the Middletown Police, inside lights were turned off and they could hear rustling inside, according to a police report.

After several minutes and several attempts of knocking on the door, a man came to the door and told police there was no one else inside.

However, once police entered the residence, they saw another man hiding behind the front door and could also hear people upstairs.

One woman came down the stairs and told police that her friend was still upstairs.

Upstairs, police found Samantha Bolton and two men. Bolton told police that the men were going to pay her and the other woman for sexual favors and there were drugs involved as well, according to the police report.

Bolton was arrested for an outstanding warrant and taken to Middletown City Jail.

The other woman and the man in the Cadillac were advised to leave the apartment area.

The men in the home were advised “to stay inside and sleep off the alcohol,” according to the police report.
