Wright-Patt’s Veterinary Treatment Facility announces December schedule

The Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF), Bldg. 1425, Area A, just off Communications Boulevard near Gate 15A, will follow an altered schedule for the month of December, said Capt. (Dr.) Elizabeth Punger, Wright-Patterson AFB branch chief, U.S. Army Public Health Activity-Ft. Knox, Fort Knox, Kentucky.

The clinic will be closed:

• Dec. 7

• Dec. 24-26

• Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

The facility will be running a limited schedule due to limited staffing and the holidays.

The VTF offers wellness care, such as vaccinations and preventative medications, and diagnostic testing and treatment for minor ailments. Services are available to all Department of Defense ID card holders, including active-duty and retired personnel.

Punger and her Soldiers are also responsible for the medical readiness of the 88th Security Forces military working dogs and local Transportation Security Administration and Customs & Border patrol dogs.
