Dayton-area man crowned ‘Chili Boss’

Everybody thinks they have a boss chili.

Only one man has a plaque to prove it.

Springboro resident Bill Lawton recently took home the top honors in Crooked Handle Brewing Company's Boss Chili Competition.

A panel of judges that included Dayton.com's Amelia Robinson favored Lawton's chili over about 15 others.

He also won the Springboro brewery’s second annual chili People’s Choice award.

Mason Walusis  won second place and Jeff Glackin took home third.

Both received gift cards and plaques.
