NATIONAL TACO DAY: Where to get a free or cheap taco today

Sure, there’s Taco Tuesday every week. But today is extra special because it’s Taco Friday.

Restaurants are offering free and cheap tacos all day to celebrate National Taco Day today.

Here’s the rundown on the best taco giveaways, deals and app freebies you’ll find today in honor of National Taco Day.

Chuy's: Add a crispy beef taco to any entree for $1 (limit two per person). Bonus: $1 floaters. If you visit the restaurant dressed up as a taco, earn a free entrée, redeemable the same day.

Fuzzy's Taco Shop: The Baja-style taco restaurant at The Greene will celebrate National Taco Day with a BOGO offer for rewards program members. Get a free select taco with taco purchase. Sign up at

Taco Bell: Get a "National Taco Day gift set"for $5 that includes four tacos — two Crunchy Tacos and two Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos — and you can order a gift card to cover the set at Through Oct. 17, get a free bean burrito with mobile orders. Also, if you order at least $13 through GrubHub, you can qualify for free delivery.

These aren’t necessarily taco deals, but a few extra ways to score a deal:

Chipotle Mexican Grill: No Taco Day deal here, but sign up for Chipotle Rewards at, and after you make your first $5 purchase, get a free chips and guac reward.

Qdoba Mexican Eats: Rewards members get double points today (which could translate to free tacos). Sign up for the free loyalty program at

The good news? Dayton will soon get its first Condado Tacos. The bad news? It's not open yet.
