For the second time in as many days the Cincinnati Bengals have had a player added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster with today’s announcement that left tackle Andrew Whitworth will replace Oakland’s Donald Penn.

Defensive tackle Carlos Dunlap was added as a replacement for Houston’s Jadeveon Clowney on Tuesday.

Whitworth, who was a first alternate, will be making his third Pro Bowl appearance in 11 seasons. He was selected in the initial voting last year and was added as a first alternate in 2012.

His addition gives the Bengals four Pro Bowl selections, along with wide receiver A.J. Green and defensive tackle Geno Atkins, although Green will not play due to the season-ending hamstring injury he suffered Nov. 20.

The Pro Bowl will be played Sunday. Jan. 29, in Orlando Fla. This year’s game returns to the traditional AFC vs. NFC format after three seasons of “unconferenced” teams being selected via a draft.
