The Thompsons are juniors at the Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. They are 6-foot-6 guards.

Amen ranks 44th in the class of 2022, according to Rivals.com. Ausar ranks 57th. Both are four-star recruits. Eric Boss, a recruiting analyst for Rivals.com, listed the brothers among players who had boosted their stock in the summer.

“From what I have seen, both of the Thompson twins should be under consideration for top 50 status nationally,” Bossi wrote. “Amen is more of a playmaker for others and a ball-handler, while Ausar is more of a slasher and transition finisher. They are both dynamic athletes and potentially elite perimeter defenders. The jump shots need some improvement, but these guys have the goods. They are from the Oakland area and it is surprising the West Coast schools haven’t caught on to them yet.”

Among the other players in the 2022 class Dayton has offered scholarships are: June. Fray Nguimbi, a 6-8 forward from West Oaks Academy in Orlando, Fla., who received a Dayton offer in June; Paul McMillan IV, a 6-1 point guard from Cincinnati Woodward who received a scholarship offer from Dayton last October; Jaden Schutt, a 6-5 guard from Yorkville, Ill., who was offered a scholarship in August; and 6-10 center Shawn Phillips, who attended Belmont High School in Dayton until transferring to Ypsi Prep this summer.
