Bayron Matos, who received a scholarship offer from Dayton in June 2018, received another offer Monday, according to FDM Athletics, a website and Twitter account devoted to Dominican Republic natives.

Matos, a 6-foot-9 center, is a senior at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tenn. He’s a three-star recruit who ranks 157th in the class of 2020, according to 247Sports.com.

Illinois and New Mexico also offered Matos a scholarship on Monday. He reopened his recruitment on the same day Mississippi State was put on three years probation.

Dayton has one commitment from the 2020 class. Lukas Frazier, a 6-foot-4 guard from Lake Catholic High School in Mentor, announced his verbal commitment in June.

Dayton has two scholarships open in 2019 and two opening in 2020, one of which Frazier will fill.
