Dayton offers scholarship to small forward from Kentucky

2019 recruit also has offers from West Virginia, Xavier, etc.

The Dayton Flyers offered a scholarship to Dontaie Allen, a 6-foot-6 small forward from Pendleton County High School in Falmouth, Ky. Allen announced the offer Tuesday on Twitter.

Allen ranks 214th in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports.com. He ranks 52nd at his position and fourth among all Kentucky players in the class. He averaged 31.8 points and 11.4 rebounds as a junior.

Allen also received an offer from West Virginia on Wednesday. Xavier, Nevada and Western Kentucky are among the other schools recruiting him.

Dayton has two scholarships open for 2018 and will have at least one more opening in 2019. It has yet to receive a commitment from a member of the 2019 class.
